Bovis Homes' Raza Malik at The Maples in Crawley
Raza Malik, sales advisor at Bovis Homes’ The Maples location in Ifield, started a degree in computer science and business management, before switching to real estate and then working out in Dubai as a sales consultant for a Middle Eastern company.
The 32-year-old clubbed all his experiences together and joined Bovis Homes where he quickly came to the attention of directors after selling 14 homes in less than two months.
Raza, who attended Hazelwick School, said: “I love the housebuilding industry and I’m from Crawley – it’s where I grew up and my family are, so I know the area so well.
“I didn’t see myself at first getting into the housing sector, but I worked hard at university, took an opportunity to travel to Dubai and saw the fantastic architecture there.
“It just inspired me to get into property and work for a company that cares about the quality of its build and the customer.
“I would recommend to anyone who wants to work hard, develop their people skills and industry knowledge, and who has an understanding of business, that they consider joining the property sector.
“Bovis Homes has a great ethos, ‘Do the right thing’ and everyone pitches in and works together and we have a great relationship between sales and build.”
The Maples has four and five-bedroom homes left available and house hunters can use purchasing schemes including Bovis Homes’ Home Exchange.
Home Exchange sees the housebuilder purchase the customer's current property, which means they can avoid all those estate agent fees and time-consuming, stress-building house chains. It also means that purchasers can stay in their current house until their new home is ready.
To part-exchange their home, a customer’s current property must be valued at no more than 75 per cent of the new Bovis Home they wish to purchase. Bovis Homes will arrange for the buyer's property to be valued, then make them an offer based on the valuation.
