Exploring green spaces
Living in one of our new build homes in Derby means the great outdoors is never far away. Elvaston Castle Country Park is just over a mile and a half from home, offering scenic walks, formal gardens and wildlife-rich grounds along the banks of the River Derwent.
Markeaton Park is another popular destination, with boating, play areas and sports facilities all in one place. There's also Darley Park and Derby Arboretum, both of which provide peaceful green escapes just a short drive from Boulton Moor.
For something more ambitious, the rolling landscapes of the Peak District National Park are around 19 miles away, while the National Forest is easily reachable via the A50.
Taking time out
Derby is a city that has something for everyone, and it's an easy journey in from our new builds. Explore the city's rich industrial heritage at the Museum of Making at the Silk Mill, or take a tour of the historic Derby Gaol. Derby Cathedral is also well worth a visit, standing beside the River Derwent with a history spanning 1,000 years.
Sports fans will find the city's county football and cricket clubs close to hand, while Donington Park Circuit is around 10 miles away for motorsport enthusiasts. For culture and live entertainment, Derby Arena and Derby Theatre have a packed programme of events throughout the year.
When it's time to eat, drink and socialise, Friar Gate's vibrant mix of bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs offers a lively night out.
Shopping locally
Everyday essentials are well within reach from our new build homes at Clover View, with Derby city centre under 5 miles away. The high street offers a strong mix of well-known brands alongside independent shops and cafés, making every trip into the city a pleasure.
The Derbion shopping centre brings together retail, dining and leisure under one roof, while the iconic Grade II-listed Derby Market Hall is a much-loved hub for independent traders and a real sense of community.
Schools near Boulton Moor
We understand how important great local schools are to families, and our new homes in Derby are positioned with this in mind. Clover Leys Spencer Academy is within walking distance, welcoming children aged 4–11 and offering breakfast and after-school clubs for added convenience. Oak Grange Primary School is just over a mile away, catering for children aged 3–11.
For secondary education, Noel-Baker Academy and Alvaston Moor Academy both serve students aged 11–16. Those looking for further or higher education will find excellent options nearby too, with Derby Cathedral School and Saint Benedict School offering provision through to age 18, and Derby College providing higher education, apprenticeships and technical courses.
Staying connected
Getting around is straightforward from our new builds in Derby, with strong connections putting the wider region within easy reach. Clover View sits just off the A6 Alvaston Bypass, feeding directly into Junction 2 of the A50 and on to Junction 24 of the M1.
Regular local and regional bus services connect Boulton Moor to Derby city centre and the surrounding area, making it possible to get around without a car.
For rail travel, Derby Station is roughly 4 miles away and serves as a major network hub, with direct services to London St Pancras in around 1 hour 40 minutes and connections to other major cities across the UK.
When it's time for international travel, East Midlands Airport is approximately 14 miles from the new housing development and reachable in under an hour by rail.
