Players at Congresbury Football Club have smart new training tops, thanks to support from a local housebuilder.
Bovis Homes, which is building new homes off Wrington Lane, donated polo tops to the men’s team. With over 100 participants and three adult teams, the club trains at its ground off Stonewall Lane on Tuesday evenings and provides an opportunity for the local community to learn new skills, meet friends and get active.
Nick Gibbs, club president commented: “Financial support from Bovis Homes towards Congresbury FC enables us to ensure our players are in the best kit possible and that costs are not passed onto team players and families.
“We appreciate all the support and effort from Bovis Homes as we pride ourselves on being a low-cost hobby that enables children and adults to socialise and exercise – but without the support of our sponsors, this isn’t possible.”
Area sales director, Natasha Palmer said: “We are delighted to sponsor Congresbury FC and we’ll be following the team’s progress this season. Grass roots football is so important; it’s a wonderful facility for the local community.”
