A development in a Cheshire village that has generated more than £1.7 million in investment for the area is nearing completion.
Bovis Homes is building 250 properties at its Hazelmere location in Haslington and there are now only seven homes remaining for sale.
The development has boosted funding for education and transport in the area, through money that the company has committed to paying as part of its planning agreement for the scheme.
Bovis Homes marketing manager, Freya Halsall, said: “Our Hazelmere location is making a positive difference to this area, through the significant level of investment that it has brought with it as well as the array of high-quality homes it is providing.
“Improving roads, cycling infrastructure and, of course, education, is something that will support and benefit this area for years to come.
“We have met local needs by providing a range of homes for people at different stages of life, and we have included a substantial number of affordable homes here. This has made all the difference to local people who were not able to buy a home outright, but who could rent or take on a shared ownership agreement.
“We have helped build a thriving community here as our customers have settled in and got to know each other. It’s good to see them enjoying their new homes and making the most of the public green space that is such a great feature all around the edge of the development.”
Bovis Homes’ financial contributions for Hazelmere include £987,392 for education, £651,190 for roads and £150,000 for cycling provision.
Construction on the development is nearing completion and is expected to finish by the end of the year. The work has been overseen by an award-winning site manager, Albert Hassall, who has won a Pride in the Job Seal of Excellence from the National House Building Council (NHBC) for the last four years in a row for Hazelmere.
The final homes for sale at Hazelmere include a choice of four and five-bedroom detached houses, with prices currently starting from £404,995.
