A local housebuilder is helping the Old Sarum wildlife community by holding a bug hotel building event on Saturday 22nd April.
Bovis Homes is creating new homes at Longhedge Village in Salisbury and will be hosting the event at its sales and marketing suite.
Taking place between 11am and 3pm, visitors can join Russ – an expert from Blackberry Gardens (a landscape gardening company) – who will explain how to make an outside home for local wildlife and bugs, before the building commences and visitors get hands on!
Marketing manager Sarah Hembrow commented: “With spring well and truly here now – and ahead of National Gardening Week (2nd May – 8th May) – we thought it would be fun to hold a bug hotel building workshop. Homebuyers can join in the fun and learn how to create a bug hotel from materials, which is something the whole family can get involved in!
“Bovis Homes is committed to helping the local wildlife and we’re also installing hedgehog highways at the development to enable hedgehogs to roam freely to find food, mates and shelter.”
Sarah added: “There will also be opportunities for homebuyers to look around the new homes development, view the show home and find out more about the schemes that could help you save money and move sooner than you think.”
Longhedge Village is a popular development of three, four and five bedroom homes with lots of areas of open space and play parks.
