Helen Crook confesses that she was the world's biggest sceptic about new-build homes - until she bought a brand-new property from Bovis Homes.

Helen says the fantastic customer service that she and her husband Martin have received from the team at Furlong Rise in Cheltenham has totally changed her mind about them.

She admitted that past experience with another house builder had sowed seeds of doubt when she and Martin began looking into the possibility of moving into a newly-built home.

But now she couldn't be happier about living in her new Kineton house type, an impressive five-bedroom detached home with a host of integrated appliances and attractive features.

"I was the world's biggest sceptic about buying a new house because we'd had a bad experience with another company when we'd bought one in the past," she explained.

"But I can't fault the customer service that we have received from Bovis Homes. It has been fantastic and has changed my mind completely about buying a new house."

Helen lived in the picturesque Cotswold village of Prestbury - home of the world-famous Cheltenham Racecourse - up until the age of 18 when she went to university.

Now, Helen is back in the area again with Martin, a GP, daughter Phoebe, 22, and a young black labrador called Jelli.

She had been looking for the opportunity to return to the location for a while, and was delighted when the new homes at Furlong Rise became available.

"The location is ideal," said Helen. "We've got lovely views of beautiful open countryside, we're opposite the racecourse and we can walk into the centre of Cheltenham in less than half an hour.

"We have been really impressed by the amount of room that the house gives us, there's lots of storage space, the kitchen is lovely and the garden is superb.

"We haven't been here for very long but we're already getting to know our neighbours. Bovis Homes have tapped really nicely into the community feel, which is exactly what we were looking for."
