The Shefford Saints Reds under 14's football team is all geared up for future matches thanks to support from a local home builder.
Bovis Homes has stepped in to sponsor the Bedfordshire-based team and the youngsters recently donned a new blue and white kit that features the house builder's famous hummingbird logo.
"We're delighted to have been given the opportunity to sponsor the team," says Bovis Homes regional marketing manager, Deborah Rigger. "The squad look fantastic in their new kit and we hope that it brings them lots of success on the football field."
The club, which is in division one of the Bedfordshire Youth Saturday League, is based close to Bovis Homes' Campton Fields location, which has brought a range of new houses - and potential players - to the area.
The team's head coach, Antonio Traetto, says: "Thank you Bovis Homes for sponsoring Shefford Saints. This has provided long-term support to help the local community continue to deliver football opportunities to many children within Shefford and the surrounding areas.
"All players and parents love the new kit and we look forward to continuing our relationship with Bovis Homes."
The team, who are 13 to 14-years-old, have been together for a number of years, with 10 of the original players having played with the team since they were they were under seven.
With a history of supporting local communities, Bovis Homes is proud to be joining forces with the football club. In addition to the new homes at Campton Fields, which has already welcomed many new residents, the house builder will also be launching its new phase at Stondon Park off Station Road next year. The development will include a range a range of two, three, four and five bedroom homes.
"We're sure many of our new residents will be interested in joining the club, if they haven't already!" said Debbie. "We are keen to support groups such as the Shefford Saints wherever we can, and they are a fantastic part of this lovely community."
The five-bedroom show home and sales information centre at Campton Fields can be visited daily between 10am and 5pm.
