A Shropshire cricket club are enjoying success on and off the field after receiving continued support from a local house-builder.
Bovis Homes, which has recently joined the Shifnal community with its Iddeshale Gardens location, has agreed to sponsor the town's popular cricket club, which is based off Priorslee Road, for the second consecutive year.
“Shifnal Cricket Club is a wonderful asset for the local community and we are delighted to, have been given the opportunity to show our support once again,” says regional marketing manager, Louise Macrae. “We wish the club the best of luck for the season and we'll be cheering them on!”
Shifnal Cricket Club, which was formed in 1849, has four open cricket teams, a women's team and numerous junior teams and has played competitively in the Birmingham and District, and Shropshire County Leagues.
Alex Riley from Shifnal Cricket Club said: “We are delighted to receive sponsorship for a second year running from Bovis Homes. The much-appreciated funds will go towards continuing our development of a vibrant junior programme, ensuring the longevity of the club and the enjoyment of our members. We look forward to continuing this excellent partnership with our local sponsor.”
The Iddeshale Gardens location has a mixture of three, four and five-bedroom which has been bowling over house hunters in the area. The popular location has two stunning show homes open for visitors – the five-bedroom Chester and the three-bedroom Southwold.
“We've welcomed many new residents to Iddeshale Gardens and it is fast becoming a wonderful, close-knit community,” explains Louise. “We're sure many of these residents will love to be part of the Shifnal Cricket Club – if they aren't already!”
