Winchester VillageLocal house builder Bovis Homes is celebrating after it was announced that its prestigious Winchester Village location has made it into the finals of the South Coast Property Awards.

The stunning location has grown into a popular new Hampshire community and has now been named as a 'Development of the Year' finalist.

“We are delighted to be a contender for this award,” says Hollie Lockhart, regional marketing manager at Bovis Homes. “We're very proud of Winchester Village and the close-knit community which is developing there.”

Designed in partnership with Winchester-based Huw Thomas Architects, the development is a characterful new community of 200 homes, which showcases 34 bespoke house types, all carefully designed to create a unique and stylish neighbourhood.

“We've welcomed many happy residents to Winchester Village and received lots of positive feedback,” continues Hollie. “It boasts so many wonderful features, making it a great place to live.

Winchester Village“There's a park and ride, which runs a bus service to the city centre and train station throughout the day, providing residents with excellent transport links. The development also has a village green for exercising and socialising, which includes a play area. There's also a fantastic woodland area for residents to enjoy.
Homes at Winchester Village range from one-bedroom apartments to six-bedroom family houses, and each style pays tribute to Jane Austen, by being given a name which has a connection with the local novelist.

“What I particularly like about the development is the variety of house design,” says resident Lyn Laver. “They're all beautiful, and the development looks lovely architecturally. The whole site is very easy on the eye and well laid out including a village green, which is charming. The neighbours are very nice too. It's a really lovely community to live in.”

Built to suit a modern lifestyle, the homes include features such as sash windows, decorative chimneys and high ceilings, creating an attractive neighbourhood and homes with charm.

The South Coast Property Awards is the leading property event in the Solent region and it will welcome finalists on July 19th to the Hilton at the Ageas Bowl when the winners will be announced by television presenter, Jake Humphrey.
