Site manager Oliver Cookson is in the running for a national award at a prestigious house-building industry gala in London.
After winning the North West regional title, Oliver has been shortlisted for the National House Building Council's (NHBC) Pride in the Job Supreme Award along with the other 10 UK regional winners in the large builder category.
Oliver won the regional award in recognition of his expertise in guiding the team at Bovis Homes' Loachbrook Meadow location on the outskirts of Congleton.
The Supreme Award winner will be announced at the NHBC's Supreme Awards Gala - the national final - at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London on Friday, 26 January.
Looking ahead to the national ceremony, Oliver said: "It's only because of the fantastic team that I've got on site that I've made it to the Supreme Awards Gala - it's a massive team effort.
"They're a great bunch at Loachbrook Meadow and I think that we all bring the best out in each other. They respect me and I respect them, and that goes a long way.
"They work conscientiously, they want to do the job well, and they're determined to build homes of which we can all be proud."
Oliver reached the regional stages of the competition after being selected from more than 16,000 UK site managers for an NHBC Pride in the Job 'Quality' Award for excellence in on-site management.
Joanne Morrison, managing director of the Bovis Homes Mercia region, added: "We're extremely proud of the high-quality homes that Oliver and his team are building at Loachbrook Meadow.
"We're thrilled that he has won the regional award and we'd like to wish him the very best of luck in the Supreme Awards."
Now in its 37th year, Pride in the Job celebrates the exceptional contribution site managers make in creating homes of outstanding quality.
The 'large builder' category is for site managers employed by a company that builds more than 1,000 new homes with NHBC warranty cover per year.
