A local house builder is hosting a home hunters event at its Bidford-on-Avon and Banbury locations this weekend, where children can get involved in a cookie and cake decorating workshop and buyers will benefit from a further sweet offer.

Bovis Homes is inviting families to its Bidford Leys location on Saturday 21st April and Longford Park on Sunday 22nd April to enjoy a special event where they can make and take away a variety of sweet treats. For those who reserve a new home on the day, the house builder will be providing further entertainment with its exclusive package.

“Visitors are welcome to drop in throughout the day to join us and the chefs to decorate some sweet treats!” says regional marketing manager, Heather Suffield. “While the children are entertained, we can tell you more about the new homes as well as give you details about the fantastic offer we have on.”

Bovis Homes will be giving away an entertainment package to those who reserve on Saturday 21st April, which includes a 50-inch 4k TV, Bose TV sound system, Amazon Echo and an iPad.

“This is the ultimate entertainment package, which will help buyers to set-up and settle in to their new home,” says Heather. “If you're looking to move to Bidford Leys or Longford Park, now is the time to reserve your dream home, and it may be much more achievable than you think with the help of our purchase assistance schemes.”

The locations offer a range of two to five-bedroom homes, providing home seekers with a variety of sizes and styles. The contemporary homes are designed to suit modern-day living and include features such as open-plan family areas, en suites to master bedrooms and bi-fold doors to beautiful gardens.

With the Government's Help to Buy – equity loan scheme, which is exclusive to brand new homes, only a 5% deposit is required. The Government will provide an equity loan of up to 20% of the value of the home and buyers will only need a mortgage for 75% of the property.

Meanwhile, the recently-launched Home Reach scheme, in partnership with residential housing provider heylo, is a part-buy part-rent option, which provides an affordable way to get on the housing ladder. With all the benefits of owning your own Bovis Home, this option allows you to decide how much you would like to buy, with shares between 50% and 75%. On the share you own, you will pay rent of 2.75% and you can increase your level of ownership at any time.

“We look forward to welcoming visitors to Bidford Leys and Longford Park at the weekend and we hope they enjoy getting creative with their cookie and cake decorations!” says Heather.
