A local home builder is celebrating success at this year's RHS Malvern Spring Festival after securing a Silver-Gilt medal at the prestigious event with its show garden.
The Bovis Homes family garden attracted wide-spread attention at this year's event thanks to its inspirational, yet achievable design, which was created as an outdoor space that families could replicate at home.
“We are over the moon with our medal, and the response that the garden has received from visitors,” says regional marketing manager, Stephanie Spry. “We've had so many compliments and it's really captured the imagination, with many people saying that they are going to replicate aspects in their own gardens.
“We've also welcomed a number of celebrity visitors, including John Torode from Masterchef, who liked the use of artificial grass and asked our designer for some tips for his own garden. Alan Titchmarsh also popped by and was very complimentary!”
The garden was created by landscape designer Dan Ryan, owner of Design It Landscape Solutions, and used a Bovis Home garden as the 'muse' for his design. It was Dan's first show garden at RHS Malvern Festival and he was delighted with the Silver-Gilt award.
“Designing and bringing to life this garden was a fantastic opportunity,” says Dan. “I am absolutely thrilled with the result and I look forward to working with Bovis Homes again in the future.”
Bovis Homes has recently launched its second phase at its St James Green location in nearby Welland, which is only a short walk from the Three Counties Showground where the Festival is held.
