Wellingborough charity Little Blessings has been named as the latest recipient of the Stanton Cross Community Award - an initiative set up by Stanton Cross house builder Bovis Homes to provide vital support for Wellingborough's local charities and community projects.
The Stanton Cross Community Award makes a quarterly donation of £1,000 to organisations in need of financial support for their work in the wider community.
The fifth organisation to win the award, Little Blessings is a new initiative of Compass Church, which gives baby and toddler clothes to families in need in Wellingborough, regardless of background, faith or financial circumstances.
The award of £1,000 will help Little Blessings to support local people by funding hospital clinics and 'Giveaway Days', which help to provide essential resources for families.
The next of these events take place on Saturday 23rd September and Saturday 18th November at the Tithe Barn in Wellingborough town centre.
Paul Soutar, Bovis Homes Divisional Operations Director, responsible for Stanton Cross said: "We are delighted to award Little Blessings with £1,000 from the Stanton Cross Community Fund. The donation will provide a welcome boost to this new charity which is already doing fantastic work to help local families in Wellingborough. We are extremely proud to support Little Blessings and wish them every success for the future."
Anna Willey at Little Blessings added: "The team at Little Blessings are so pleased to be the recipients of the Stanton Cross Community Award. This will make such a big difference to the charity and the families in Wellingborough who benefit from our services. We are very thankful to Bovis Homes for their generosity and for recognising the work we do in the local community."
