Bovis Homes is running a wildlife photography competition for residents at its south west developments.
The competition features three categories:
• Wildlife category - Adults and teenagers (aged 13 years plus)
• Wildlife category - Children (aged 12 and under)
• Hedgehog category
The photographer of the winning image (from each of the three categories) will receive a wildlife camera. An additional £250 donation will be made to the British Hedgehog Preservation Society for the best hedgehog photo and the winner of the children’s category will also receive a Kindle.
Working with the Hedgehog Street project, the housebuilder has created many hedgehog highways at their developments to enable hedgehogs to travel safely between gardens.
Sales and marketing director, Emma Smith commented: “We’ve been installing hedgehog highways for a while now and thought it would be fantastic to see them in use. However, please don’t disturb or touch the animals, just leave them to behave naturally – remote wildlife cameras are great for this!
“The images must be captured at a Bovis Homes development in the South West, they need to be taken this year and received by 31st December 2022 - so there are a few weeks to get nature spotting!”
For the wildlife categories, residents could photograph anything outdoors whether it’s different shades of autumn leaves, a bird they’ve spotted, a pretty corner of their garden or veg they’ve grown.
Emma added: “We’re looking for beautiful wildlife photos so get outdoors and see what captures your attention – we cannot wait to see the pictures.”
