Bovis homes has donated a selection of gifts to the Christmas Wishes initiative to ensure that some of Monmouthshire’s most vulnerable children receive a present this year.
The housebuilder, which is building new homes locally at Seymour Place in Undy, arranged a collection point and donated a selection of presents including gift vouchers, nail polish, chocolate, hats, socks, deodorant packs, make up brushes and art sets.
Cllr Ian Chandler, for Social Care, Safeguarding and Accessible Health Services, Monmouthshire County Council, said: “We want to ensure Monmouthshire’s most vulnerable children and young people are not forgotten this Christmas. We’d like to thank Vistry Group for their kind donations towards our Christmas Wishes campaign.”
Sue Scholfield, regional managing director at Vistry Western, commented: “We were asked to focus our collection on teenagers and so staff, customers and our site team donated items with young people in mind.
“The Children’s Services Team at Monmouthshire County Council do a fantastic job and they’re currently organising the presents, matching them with individuals and then distributing over the coming days. We’re pleased to support the Christmas Wishes initiative and will definitely be helping again next year.”
