The first residents have moved into Bovis Homes’ Beuley View location in Peters Village in Kent, which is helping provide new homes for those taking their first step on the property ladder.
All 11 of the first homes reserved at the development have been bought by first-time buyers and many of these buyers have used the new Home Stepper scheme, which was launched by Bovis Homes and Sage Homes earlier this year.
Home Stepper allows buyers to purchase a share in their new home and pay rent on the remaining proportion, making more homes affordable for those on lower incomes or with smaller deposits.
The site team at Beuley View has now completed and handed over they keys to several homes, with their new owners able to move in before Christmas.
Candice McCabe, marketing manager for Bovis Homes, said: “We are pleased to see that the new homes we are delivering at Beuley View are helping first-time buyers take that all-important first step on the property ladder.
“This has largely been aided by our Home Stepper scheme, which is opening up the possibility of home ownership for more buyers, meaning they can buy their own home sooner than they may have otherwise been able to do.
“This has been particularly important for younger buyers, who have identified Beuley View as a desirable place to live in part because of its close proximity to Wouldham All Saints CofE Primary School within Peters Village, and the community which is already well established here.
“Our previous location in Peters Village, Osprey Rise, is now completed and sold out, and we anticipate a similar level of interest continuing here at Beuley View.”
Bovis Homes, which is part of Vistry Group, is building 162 new homes at Beuley View, including one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom houses. Two show homes – the three-bedroom Hazel and the four-bedroom detached Chestnut – are open to view.
