The final new property has now been sold at Bovis Homes’ Haygate Fields location in the Shropshire town of Wellington, where building work has been completed.
The development has seen 188 Bovis Homes properties built as part of a wider new neighbourhood of 289 homes off Haygate Road on the western edge of the town.
The Bovis Homes part of the site delivered 141 homes for private sale and 47 affordable homes available for local people through low-cost rent or shared ownership.
The wider development has brought with it around £2 million of investment for the local area as part of the planning agreement.
This included more than half a million pounds for primary education and £300,000 for secondary education, £130,000 for off-site sports pitches, £410,720 for roads and £40,000 for sustainable travel and traffic calming measures, as well as funding for affordable housing in the area.
Marketing manager for Bovis Homes, Freya Halsall, said: “We can finish our work here at Haygate Fields knowing that we have created something to be very proud of.
“Hundreds of people are settling into their new homes and enjoying all the location has to offer. They are getting to know each other and building a community.
“And the significant sums we have invested in education, sport and roads will benefit not only the residents at Haygate Fields, but the wider community.
“I’d like to pay tribute to the hard work and dedication of everyone who worked here, building the homes and liaising with customers to make sure they had a great homebuying experience.”
Although all the homes at Haygate Fields are now sold, Bovis Homes, which is part of Vistry Group, has further properties for sale in Shropshire at The Quarters @ Redhill in Redhill, and at Oteley Gardens in Shrewsbury.
