Exams results have been published and now many young people will be trying to decide what their next step will be.
Vistry Group – which builds properties under the Bovis Homes and Linden Homes brands – has an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in forging a technical career and is calling for applications.
The technical apprenticeship will enable the successful candidate to earn and learn simultaneously. Based in Exeter, the full time role will involve working four days a week with one day studying towards an HNC qualification, which will be funded by the company.
Regional technical director, Malcolm Gilmore explained: “This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has just finished their exams and is interested in a technical career in the industry. There is no preferred age, background or education – we are simply looking for an enthusiastic individual who is keen to develop within the business and we will fully support them.
“We want to find and invest in the right person and as a result we’re happy for the successful candidate to shape the role based on their skills and interests – it could be anything from architecture to engineering or project management, including construction technology and urban design.
“The apprentice will spend time with each department including Technical, Build, Commercial, Land and Sales to learn how each team works and supports each other. It’s a great company to work for; our chief executive started as an apprentice himself, so it’s a position that’s heavily valued within the business and it will hopefully lead to a very successful and enjoyable career.”
