Axminster home hunters can find out more about how to get on and up the housing ladder at a special weekend event hosted by a local home-builder.
Bovis Homes is inviting home seekers to its Cloakham Lawns location in Axminster on the 24th and 25th March to find out more about how they could benefit with Help to Buy or the new Home Reach scheme.
“This weekend, along with our sales team, there will also be a mortgage advisor on hand so interested buyers can find out more about their options,” says regional marketing manager, Stacey Banfield. “We offer a wide range of purchase assistance schemes which means that dream move could be much easier than you think.”
Help to Buy is a Government-backed equity loan scheme, which is exclusive to brand new homes. Buyers will only require a 5% deposit, with the Government providing an equity loan of up to 20% of the value of the house. By securing a 75% mortgage, buyers may be able to find more competitive lending rates and make repayments more affordable.
Meanwhile, the recently-launched Home Reach scheme, in partnership with residential housing provider heylo, is a part-buy part-rent option, which provides an affordable way to get on the housing ladder. With all the benefits of owning your own home, this option allows you to decide how much you would like to buy, with shares between 50% and 75%. On the share you don't own, you will pay rent of 2.75% and you can increase your level of ownership at any time.
Located on the edge of Axminster, Cloakham Lawns offers a selection of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes in a range of layouts. The contemporary homes are designed for a modern lifestyle and have a variety of stylish features, including French doors, open-plan living areas and balconies to take advantage of the beautiful Devon countryside.
The home buyers event will take place Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th March from 10am until 5pm.
