Shifnal home proves that new-build is best, be it north, south, east or west!

A father-of-two, whose wife fell in love with their daughter’s new-build home in Cheshire, says he is delighted to have now bought a property from the same house builder in Shropshire – especially as he works for them!

Nigel Tootell, who works at Bovis Homes as a structural engineer, has moved from the company’s South West region in Exeter, to their Mercia region, based near Stafford.

As part of the move, together with his wife Shirley, they looked around to find their perfect property in the area.

But it was actually a visit to their daughter’s new home in Congleton which sealed the deal and put them on track to making a move to Bovis Homes’ Iddeshale Gardens in Shifnal.

Nigel said: “I knew all about the high quality of Bovis Homes in the South West, but I approached this move with an open mind – and Shirley originally wanted to move into an older property.

“However, once she had visited our daughter’s new place in Congleton, which happens to be a Bovis Home, she fell in love with it.”

And they were reassured that Bovis Homes’ quality extended to the north west of the country when they paid a visit to Iddeshale Gardens, where Nigel was delighted to meet some of his new colleagues.

“We were staying with friends just outside Kidderminster and decided to pop into the sales office at Iddeshale Gardens,” he said. “The sales team were so enthusiastic about the area and we just had to have a look around.

We looked at all the competitors, but it was Bovis Homes that ticked all the boxes – which is reassuring given I work for them!

“We’re on the edge of town, which is a flat walk away. We’re close enough to Telford too, which is a ten-minute drive, and Shrewsbury is 40 minutes. We’re also close to the M54 and the M6 isn’t far.”

Their three-bedroom Cranham home has plenty of room for visitors – including son Jack, who now makes regular trips from his home in Cheltenham – and they enjoy being close to good transport links and amenities.

The couple used Bovis Homes’ Smooth Move service, which saves home buyers time and money while they try and sell their current property and look forward to moving into their brand new one. When their existing property is sold, Bovis Homes pays the estate agents’ fees.

Other purchase schemes for this property include Help to Buy and Home Exchange.
