For Rebecca Eliasu and her husband Sul, free time is at a premium. So when they decided they wanted to move home, a new-build was the perfect solution.
“Sul and I both have very busy careers – he’s in the army and I’m a sales manager for a brokerage firm,” says Rebecca. “So when we started looking to move, we knew that it would be to a new-build rather than an older property, because we just don’t have the time to carry out extra work to get a home to our tastes.”
The couple had been interested in the progress of Bovis Homes’ Ribbans Park location in Ipswich for over a year before they decided to take a look around.
“Ribbans Park is in a great area, away from the main road and close to the town centre. There’s some excellent schools nearby too,” explains Rebecca, who has lived in Suffolk all her life.
“We looked around the ‘Faversham’ house type and were really taken with it. There’s plenty of living space, the bedrooms are a good size and the addition of a cloakroom on the ground floor is a real bonus. And because it is a new-build, nothing needed doing – we could move straight in!”
The three-bedroom Faversham town house is set over three storeys, with an open-plan kitchen/diner and family room on the ground floor, with a sitting room, three bedrooms and family bathroom on the floors above.
Rebecca and Sul made a reservation, and completed their purchase using the Government’s Help to Buy – Equity Loan, which enables buyers to purchase a new property using an equity loan from the government for up to 20% of the property's value, leaving just a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage required.
Now they’re settled into their new home, the couple can reflect on a very positive experience.
“It’s felt like home from day one,” says Rebecca. “The sales team were amazing, and really went above and beyond – even after the sale completed. We’d just like to say a massive thanks to the whole team for all the support we’ve received. We absolutely love our new home!”
