Phil and Teresa Platt
Teresa and Phil Platt had just returned from a summer break to Florida when they decided to drop in at Bovis Homes Sancerre Grange location in Eccleshall. Little did they know that the trip would lead them directly to their next holiday!
The couple, who live in Eccleshall with their two daughters Elise, 16, and nine-year-old Kendra, are now celebrating having been named regional winners of Bovis Homes' Heat Wave competition, taking home a £500 holiday voucher!
The family are currently in the process of buying a brand new three-bedroom 'Horton' home at Sancerre Grange, and it was on a visit to the sales office that they entered the competition.
"We had just returned from a wonderful fortnight in Florida and decided to pop into the sales office to see how things were progressing with our move," explains Teresa. "It was while we were there that our sales advisor Barney asked if we'd like to take part in the competition."
The Heat Wave competition ran throughout the summer months, with entrants visiting sales centres to take a photo with Bovis Homes' summer heat wave frame, and then being entered into a draw.
"Barney said we should have fun with it, so we did the funniest faces we could! Once we'd taken the picture, we didn't think any more of it," says Teresa, a governance manager for the NHS.
"It was only when we received a call from the sales advisor Rachel a couple of weeks later that we even remembered we'd entered. It was a really lovely surprise when we were told we'd won. We were delighted!" she added.
The family have already planned their summer holiday for 2018, and will be jetting off to Bulgaria. So the voucher will come in very handy indeed.
"It's fantastic, and will go a long way towards our flights for next year's holiday. We're really very grateful," says Teresa. "Our whole experience with Bovis Homes has been excellent so far. The sales advisors are great, the site manager is really on the ball and the whole development looks beautiful. We really can't wait to move into our new home!"
