Three engineers at Bovis Homes in New Ash Green raised almost £500 for a local charity when they beat the rush-hour traffic - by running back home from the office at the end of a hard day's work.
Nothing too unusual about that - except the trio from the South East region all live more than 18 miles from their workplace.
And that is a distance that neither Richard Franks, Dave Milligan nor Jeff Foggo, from the housebuilder's Technical team, had tackled before.
They managed the run back to Maidstone in just under two and a half hours, raising £460 for the region's charity, The Invicta Foundation, who support severely wounded troops.
"As Engineers working in the Technical department, sustainability is obviously at the forefront of our minds and that combined with the need for a new challenge and an opportunity to raise money drove us to do it," said Richard.
"Despite the obvious environmental benefits it's not something we'll be considering doing on a daily basis but we would like to thank all those in the South East regional office of Bovis Homes who were kind enough to sponsor us and support the charity."
