Leading housebuilder Bovis Homes will deliver 198 new homes in Milton Keynes after the acquisition of new land in the town.
The site, located in the Wavendon area to the east of Milton Keynes, is just three miles from the headquarters of the company’s Northern Home Counties region at Caldecotte Lake Business Park. The regional team will be responsible for delivering the new homes.
The development, which forms part of a wider 1,140 home scheme, will see Bovis Homes build 198 new homes, including 139 properties ranging from one to four bedrooms for sale on the open market. The company will also build 59 units which are allocated as affordable and will be managed by L&Q Housing Trust.
Tom Wheeler, Bovis Homes regional land director, said: “We’re delighted to have made this acquisition and look forward to getting started on site and delivering these much-needed new homes.
“The purchase of this new site builds on our long-standing commitment to this area, and we’re confident that it will be as much of a success as our popular nearby locations at Marston Mortaine, Flitwick, and Whitehouse Park to the west of Milton Keynes.”
Bovis Homes will submit its reserved matters planning application in May, and if successful, plans to begin work on site before the end of the year, with the first residents moving in the following summer.
Alongside the new properties, the wider scheme will deliver two schools, a community building, areas of public open space, play areas and new infrastructure.
