Located 20 miles south of Chester and 5 miles southwest of Crewe, Nantwich is served by four major roads including the A500 which serves as a direct link to Junction 16 of the M6 about 10 miles away. Manchester is just 36 miles north and Birmingham 60 miles south. Nantwich, originally a Roman salt-making settlement, has the largest collection of historic buildings in the county after Chester; including the Grade I listed St Mary's Church that dates to the 14th Century and the Churche's Mansion that was built in 1577. The town even has its own museum, so you can discover the full fascinating history. The town has an annual Jazz and Blues festival which is becoming increasingly popular where most of the local pubs, bars and restaurants host live performances. The Nantwich Food Festival that takes place in the summer season transforms the community into a food lovers' paradise and attracts all ages, tastes and wallets. This vibrant community is bursting with clubs, societies and sports for all ages. You can explore the banks of the River Weaver, Nantwich lake and the Shropshire Union Canal with a 3-mile circular walk. The nearby Nantwich Aqueduct is another historical structure that sits on the edge of town and the Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker has been transformed into a museum. For ramblers, the Peak District is located just 30 miles away and for water lovers, you can take the plunge at the Nantwich outdoor brine pool.
Pear Tree Meadows is situated half a mile away from the local Millfields Primary School, making it a great location for the school run whilst avoiding the hustle and bustle of the school traffic. There is also Saint Anne's Catholic Primary and Wyche Primary. For senior pupils, there is Brine Leas School for ages 11 to 18, as well as Malbank School and Sixth Form College just a mile away. - After nearly 2 miles at the roundabout take 1st exit onto A530, Middlewich Road
- Continue over next roundabout
- Arriving at the next roundabout take 2nd exit continuing on the A530, Middlewich Road
- At the T Junction turn left onto B5074, Barony Road
- At the crossroads turn right onto A530 Beam Street, continuing for 0.5 miles
- Continue onto Welsh Row
- Take the 4th left onto Queen''s Drive and follow this road round
- Leave the M6 at junction 16 heading towards Nantwich, then at roundabout take the exit onto the A500
- At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit, onto the A500, then take the 1st exit and then the 2nd exit at the following two roundabouts continuing on the A500
- At Cheerbrook roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A51 Newcastle Road, when reaching the traffic signals turn left onto the A51 Elwood Way
- Continue forward onto the A5301, at traffic signals turn right onto the A529, Audlem Road continuing forward onto Wellington Road - B5341
- At roundabout take the 1st exit onto Water-Lode - A534
- At the T junction turn left onto Welsh Row
