- Take the A421 Standing Way
- Continue on the A421 for approximately 7 miles then turn left, signposted Padbury and Steeple Claydon
- In 2 miles, at the end of the road turn left onto the A413 then take the slight right into Main Street
- Continue for 2.7 miles then turn right onto North End Road
- Nightingale Fold can be found immediately on the left
- Leave the M40 at Junction 9 and take the A41 for Bicester
- Stay on the A41 for approximately 9 miles
- Turn left towards Calvert, Edgecott and Grendon Underwood
- Follow the road for 3.6 miles
- Turn left towards Calvert, Winslow and Claydon House onto Werner Terrace
- In 1 mile, turn left, signposted Steeple Claydon
- In 1.4 miles, turn right onto West Street
- In 0.3 miles turn left onto North End Road and continue for 1 mile
- Nightingale Fold can be found on the right-hand side

Getting around
The A413 at Padbury is about 3 miles away and links the village to Buckingham and Winslow which are both less than a 6 mile drive. From Buckingham the A421 (east) leads to Bletchley, 10 miles away and Milton Keynes, 13 miles, and from there it's just another 3 miles to the Junction 14 of the M1. Head west into Oxfordshire for the A43 and M40 (north) or take the A4421 to Bicester, 11 miles away, where the A41 joins Junction 9 of the M40 (south) and the A34 to Oxford. For Aylesbury head south for 15 miles, taking the A413. Trains run from Bicester North to London Marylebone and Birmingham, and from Aylesbury to London Marylebone. For air travel, Luton Airport is less than 37 miles away.
A trip to the shops
Steeple Claydon has its own Co-op supermarket, a bakery and a post office. Less than 6 miles away in Buckingham there's a Tesco superstore, an Aldi and a Waitrose. The town centre has a variety of independent craft, antiques, jewellery, gift shops and also holds regular general markets.
