Getting around

Ringmer is ideally located for transport links, with Brighton and the South Coast along the A26 and A27 and London via the A22 and M23. Lewes rail station is approximately 3 miles away and has regular services to London Victoria, taking just over an hour. The village is served by the number 28 bus which runs between Brighton and Tunbridge Wells. For wider travel London Gatwick Airport can be easily reached via the M23.

For further education there is the East Sussex College with campuses at Lewes, Eastbourne and Newhaven.

From Brighton

  • Take the A270 north, leaving Brighton, A270 turns slightly left and becomes Lewes Road
  • Use the left 2 lanes to turn slightly left onto Lewes Road/A270
  • Use the middle lane to take the slip road onto Lewes Road/A27
  • Merge onto Lewes Rd/A27 and continue to follow A27
  • At Ashcombe Roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A27
  • At Southerham Roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A26
  • At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Malling Street/A26
  • Continue to follow A26 Turn right onto Ham Lane
  • Turn left onto Norlington Lane
  • Turn left to stay on Norlington Lane
  • Turn right onto Bishops Lane
  • Potters Field will be found on your left hand side
