Wellington has a number of primary schools catering for pupils aged from 4 to 11 years. Short Wood Primary School is the closest to Haygate Fields, and St Patrick's Roman Catholic Primary and Wrekin View Primary are also within easy reach.
For senior pupils Ercall Wood Technology College is a mixed secondary school for students aged 11 to 16 years, and New College offers sixth form facilities, apprenticeships, and higher education.
The Hadley Learning Community provides education for 5-16 year-olds and The Old Hall School caters for 4 to 11-year-olds, and Wrekin College, a mixed boarding school.
