Nantwich, originally a Roman salt-making settlement, has the largest collection of historic buildings in the county after Chester; including the Grade I listed St Mary's Church that dates to the 14th Century and the Churche's Mansion that was built in 1577. The town even has its own museum, so you can discover the full fascinating history.
The town has an annual Jazz and Blues festival which is becoming increasingly popular where most of the local pubs, bars and restaurants host live performances. The Nantwich Food Festival that takes place in the summer season transforms the community into a food lovers' paradise and attracts all ages, tastes and wallets.
This vibrant community is bursting with clubs, societies and sports for all ages. You can explore the banks of the River Weaver, Nantwich lake and the Shropshire Union Canal with a 3-mile circular walk. The nearby Nantwich Aqueduct is another historical structure that sits on the edge of town and the Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker has been transformed into a museum. For ramblers, the Peak District is located just 30 miles away and for water lovers, you can take the plunge at the Nantwich outdoor brine pool.

The town has supermarkets M&S Food, Sainsbury's, Morrison's and The Co-operative Food, in addition to its 500 year old local market and monthly Farmer's Market. There is the Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet located 23 miles away and other shopping villages and malls can be found in nearby Crewe, Manchester, Trafford and Chester.
