Surrounded by countryside and nestling beside the river Gascoigne, Milborne Port is a vibrant village with pubs, a shop, post office, butchers, primary school, library, doctors surgery and a wealth of community groups and leisure clubs. Theres also a live cinema, circular walks and the Grade 1 listed St John the Evangelist church hosts concerts and social events. 

Nearby Sherborne is brimming with historic buildings with an Abbey dating back to AD 705 and the stunning Sherborne Castle and Gardens built by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1594. There's a wide range of shops in Sherborne including Waitrose and Sainsburys supermarkets and small independents offering antiques, books, art and clothes alongside well-known brands. 

The A30 runs through Milborne Port from Shaftesbury to the east, 15 miles away. To the West the A30 leads to Sherborne, three miles and on to Yeovil, eight miles. The popular Dorset coastal resort of Weymouth is only 30 minutes via the B3145 and A352. Train services to Exeter, Salisbury and London run from Sherborne and Templecombe. For air travel both Bournemouth and Bristol airports are about 42 miles away.

  • At the Hospital Roundabout, take the A30, Reckleford
  • Continue on the A30 on to Babylon Hill
  • After about 5 miles turn right onto the A352, Horsecastles Lane
  • Turn right onto Bradford Road
  • Mildenhall can be found on the right hand side

From Shaftesbury

  • Leave the town on St James's Street
  • Turn right on to St John's Hill, B3091
  • Turn left onto Foyle Hill and continue for about 1 mile
  • Continue right onto Cherry Orchard Lane
  • Turn left onto Sherborne Causeway, A30
  • Follow the A30 for approximately 13 miles
  • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Coldharbour, A30
  • Continue on the A30 for about 1 mile
  • Turn left onto Horsecastles Lane, A352
  • Turn right onto Bradford Road
  • Mildenhall can be found on the right hand side
