A charming village nestled in the foothills of the South Downs, depicting quintessential English living.

The area is rich in historical locations from Danny Park, an Elizabethan Mansion once owned by the Pierpoint family to Jack and Jill Windmills which can been seen from the South Downs Way.

Time Out

There are a wealth of things to enjoy in the area, from picture postcard villages and rolling countryside to family focused attractions, historic houses, gardens and parks.

Take a trip back in time and visit Lewes Castle, 14 miles away, a Norman castle over a thousand years old, there's lots to do for the kids while you take in the breathtaking views from the tower, or a little further a field step into 1066 country for the day at Battle Abbey, 60 minutes away.

For a more active hobbies Hassocks Sports centre, 4 miles away offers a range of sporting activities, fully equipped gym and 3G pitch. Or if outside activities are more your thing Hassocks Golf Club is 2 miles way and there is a choice of 5 riding schools within 4 miles.

There are a number of nursery and Primary schools in the local area with the most notable St Lawrence C of E Primary school just over a mile away rated as Ofsted Outstanding (last inspection May 2007) whilst the sought after Hurstpierpoint College, set within 140 acres of grounds which back onto Bramble Park offers education for 4 - 19 year olds.
