  • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Merlin Way A420
  • At the White Hart roundabout take the 3rd exit onto A420
  • Continue on the A420 for approximately 8 miles
  • Shortly after Great Coxwell turn left
  • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit
  • Continue onto Coxwell Road

  • At the magic roundabout take the exit onto A4312, Queen's Drive
  • At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto Drakes Way, A4312

Getting around
Faringdon Fields offers easy access to the A420 that links Oxford, 18 miles away, to the A419 for Swindon, just 12 miles away. Head north-west on the A419 for Cirencester, Cheltenham and the M5, or go south for junction 15 of the M4 for London or the West Country and Wales. Buses run to both Swindon and Oxford every half hour and to Wantage hourly. You can catch trains from Swindon to Reading, London Paddington, Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, Gloucester and Cheltenham. For air travel Bristol International Airport is 64 miles and Heathrow is 67 miles away.

A trip to the shops
Faringdon has a vibrant town centre with a great range of local shops and services. Many are independents selling everything from antiques and flowers to jewellery and cheese. There is also a butcher's, baker's, delicatessen, a newsagent's, post office and chemists and for supermarket shopping you've a Waitrose and Aldi nearby. You can browse weekly markets in The Square and Corn Market, or for iconic fashion brands take a trip to Swindon Designer Outlet that has more than 100 stores.

Taking time out
Faringdon offers a wealth of attractions and clubs for all ages. Enjoy a circular walk, or try the Thames Path or the Ridgeway National Trail. Take the tour of Faringdon's many historic and listed buildings, follow the FUN Trail, or relax with a picnic beside the fishing lake at Folly Country Park. Climb the 100 ft Folly Tower for views of five counties, or visit the National Trust home of Lord Faringdon at Buscot House. For sports-lovers there's Faringdon Leisure Centre, or you can join one of the many sports clubs. You can't live in the Vale of the White Horse without trotting down to Uffington to see the 3,000 year old, White Horse that's cut into the hillside and chalk-filled.

Education
 There are schools for all ages in Faringdon, from nurseries and pre-school to 'A' level students. Faringdon Infant School on Lechlade Road takes children aged 5 to 7 years, and Faringdon Junior School caters for pupils aged 7 to 11 years. For senior students Faringdon Community College, one of the top performing schools in Oxfordshire, is a mixed comprehensive with a sixth form taking pupils aged 11 to 18.
