Getting around


Loachbrook Meadow enjoys a rural location off the A534 Sandbach Road, on the outskirts of Congleton and only 6 miles from nearby Sandbach. It's approximately four miles from junction 17 of the M6 that leads north to Warrington and Manchester via the M56, or south to the Midlands. The A54 gives a direct link to the pretty Derbyshire Peak District, while Congleton's Park Lane railway station is just three miles and runs regular services to Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent. For air passengers Manchester Airport is only approximately 26 miles.

A trip to the shops

You will be spoilt for choice with more than 160 retailers in nearby Congleton from leading High Street names and brands to independent shops selling everything from handbags and flowers, to French furniture and art. There's a wide choice of leading supermarkets, plus smaller convenience stores and pharmacies. The arcade Capitol Walk has a selection of unique shops and there's a twice-weekly covered market and monthly farmers' market. For serious city shopping, Manchester city centre is only 28 miles and boasts nearly 200 top stores including Harvey Nichols and Selfridges.

Taking time out

With a home at Loachbrook Meadow you are surrounded by the beautiful Cheshire countryside and are close to the Green Flag awarded Astbury Mere Country Park, with its walks, trails and Ranger-run activities. The Biddulph Valley Way is ideal for walkers, cyclists and horse-riders, while Congleton Leisure Centre has swimming, sports, fitness and dance facilities. The Daneside Theatre hosts music, drama and film events and there's a wealth of pubs, eating houses and restaurants. The River Dane and Manchester Canal are popular local attractions and nearby Bosley Cloud, an impressive hill at 343 metres, offers stunning views. Additionally the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District is also only about 15 miles.

Education

The Quinta Primary School in West Heath caters for children aged 4 to 11 years and is less than one mile from Loachbrook Meadow as is Black Firs Primary School. For senior pupils Congleton High School is right on the doorstep and has sixth form facilities, as does the Eaton Bank Academy to the east of the town. All Hallows Catholic College in Macclesfield, also takes pupils from Congleton primary schools.

From M6 junction 17, travelling north or south

  • At junction 17, take the A534 exit to Sandbach/Congleton
  • Take the A534 Congleton Road
  • Continue to follow A534 for 4 miles, passing through a set of traffic lights and passing Sandy Lane on your left
  • Bovis Homes Loachbrook Meadow development will be on your left

From Macclesfield

  • Take the A536 Congleton Road for 6.5 miles
  • Continue onto Lower Heath/A34 - going through two roundabouts
  • At the third roundabout take the second exit onto A534 Sandbach Road
  • In around one mile the Loachbrook Meadow will be on your right
