Taking time out
Founded by the Romans on the banks of the scenic River Dee, Chester is one of Britain's best preserved walled cities with buildings dating back to medieval times and a magnificent Cathedral. Much of its history is recorded at the City's Grosvenor Museum. Today it is home to many fine restaurants, bistros and pubs, a cinema and indoor and outdoor theatres. Chester also has its own famous racecourse and Zoo, and the River Dee is ideal for a relaxing boat trip. For sports fans there many clubs and facilities in the area, while the county's largest area of woodland, Delamere Forest, offers walking, cycling and for youngsters, a 'Go Ape' experience.

Less than a mile from Crown Park is Saighton Church of England Primary School and there are three further primary schools less than two miles away. Secondary education is provided at nearby Christleton High School and about two miles away at West Cheshire College there are courses for young people and adults. There are two independent schools locally, the Abbey Gate College, at Saighton Grange and King's School in Chester.
