Getting around
The market town of Buckingham is well-located for both the M1 and the M40 which between them provide motorway links to London, the north of England, the Midlands, the M25 and the M4. Milton Keynes is only a 14 mile trip via the A421 where trains run to London and Birmingham. For air travel Luton Airport is 36 miles away.

A trip to the shops
At Windsor Park you have local, independent traders in Buckingham and a 24 hour Tesco on your doorstep. Less than half an hour away are the shopping malls of Milton Keynes, or the designer outlets at Bicester Village.
Buckingham itself has all the essentials, plus supermarkets and antiques, crafts, jewellery, florists and gift shops. Thecentre:mk at Milton Keynes is one of the region's most vibrant shopping centres offering more than 240 retailers, including major department stores. Just a 12 mile trip to Bicester Village offers you designer goods at more than 130 boutiques with leading names such as Armani and Jimmy Choo.

Taking time out
Buckingham is steeped in history and still holds traditional town markets. The Old Gaol is its landmark building and the National Trust's Buck Chantry Chapel dates back to the 12th century. It has many pubs and restaurants, its own cinema, leisure centre with swimming pool and numerous sports clubs. Nearby Milton Keynes offers a wealth of entertainment with its National Bowl, The Hub, impressive theatre and live music venues. Historic Stowe Landscape Gardens has 400 acres of formal gardens and parks and at Claydon House you'll find lavish 18th century interiors. A 15 minute drive takes you motor racing at Silverstone, visiting the huge Brackley Antiques cellar or the Museum of Rural Life.

Buckingham offers excellent local education facilities with four primary schools two of which are less than 2 miles away from Windsor Park. For senior pupils there is Buckingham School and the respected Royal Latin School and a state Grammar school. There are two independent schools locally, Stowe School and Akeley Wood School. The UK's only independent university with a Royal Charter, the University of Buckingham is also based in the town.
