Getting around
Apsley, Hemel Hempstead has good access to major road, motorway and rail links, providing easy routes to St Albans, Luton and London. The nearby A41 provides direct routes to the M25 and M1, with the A1(M) and M40 also reached via the M25. Apsley railway station runs regular services to the London Euston, a journey of around thirty minutes and coach services to the capital run from Hemel Hempstead. For international air travel Luton Airport is less than fourteen miles away.

A trip to the shops
In Apsley you have a number of local stores and convenience shops and close by is a Sainsburys supermarket on the Mills Retail Park, with two further supermarkets within a mile. In Hemel Hempstead just two miles away, you can choose from seventy five stores including Marks and Spencer and other well known names, plus smaller independent shops in The Marlowes Centre. The town's open air Riverside Shopping Centre offers yet more stores with a Debenhams and other top High Street brands. The old High Street offers numerous antique shops and weekly markets. For serious city shopping London is less than thirty miles away, about a half hour train journey from Apsley.

Taking time out
A home at Aspen Park provides opportunities to enjoy a range of sports and leisure activities with Hemel Hempstead's Jarmans Park offering a dry ski run, cinema and bowling alley and Planet Ice a popular venue for skating sessions and events for all ages. The St Albans Arena is a great entertainment venue and has a packed line up of national touring shows, rock and pop concerts, comedy, films and exhibitions. Closer to Aspen Park, enjoy a relaxing stroll around Apsley Marina or a trip up the Grand Union Canal. Visit The Paper Trail museum, based at Apsley's only surviving paper mill that details the history of this once booming local industry and you can't miss St Mary's Church spire - at 200ft one of the tallest spires in Europe!

Education
A home at Aspen Park benefits from having five local primary schools within less than one mile, and for senior pupils both Hemel Hempstead School and Long Dean School are just over a mile away. Both have sixth form facilities. Abbot's Hill School is a local independent school for pupils aged three to seventeen years.

From M1 North

  • Leave the M1 at Junction 8 taking the A414 Breakspear Way towards Hemel Hempstead
  • Continue straight on the A414 on to St Albans Way
  • At Moore End roundabout take the first exit at the first roundabout, then take the second exit at the second roundabout and finally take the first exit at the third roundabout onto the A414 Two Waters Road
  • At the traffic lights turn left onto the A4251 London Road
  • Take the second right onto Featherbed Lane and Aspen Park can be found half a mile ahead on the left hand side

From A41

  • Pick up the A41 towards Hemel Hempstead
  • Branch left, then at roundabout take the second exit onto the A414
  • At the junction turn right onto the A4251 London Road
  • Take the second right onto Featherbed Lane and Aspen Park can be found half a mile ahead on the left hand side
