Ex-military personnel wanting to join the construction industry have received a major boost after Vistry Group signed the BuildForce Veteran Alliance Charter to support them into the industry.
The national housebuilding group – which includes Bovis Homes, Linden Homes and Vistry Partnerships – is throwing its weight behind former service men and women looking to transfer their skills by working with the industry-led programme BuildForce.

Vistry Group has announced two significant internal promotions within its housebuilding operations in the south of England.
Dawnet McLaughlin will take over as managing director of Vistry Southern. Dawnet joined Linden Homes – which is part of Vistry, along with Bovis Homes – five years ago, where she played a key role as commercial director in Guildford.

Vistry Group – which includes Bovis Homes and Linden Homes – has donated £5,000 to Prostate Cancer UK, as prostate cancer becomes the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK for the first time.
Covid-19 has interrupted crucial research conducted by the charity, which is why donations are essential at this time, to ensure important work continues and more lives are saved.

Home hunters in Surrey could find the new-build property of their dreams after a national housebuilder received the green light for more than 120 homes at Mindenhurst village in Deepcut.
Bovis Homes – part of the newly-formed Vistry Group – has had a planning application for 127 homes at Mindenhurst, off Brunswick Road, approved unanimously by Surrey Heath Borough Council's planning committee.
