New figures have revealed the monumental progress being made in the construction of Sherford, one of the South West’s largest new community developments. Since house construction began in 2016, over 500 homes are currently under construction. In excess of 150 residents live in the vibrant and growing community, and the first primary school is bustling with over 90 pupils.

Bovis Homes has contributed £100 to 1st Radford Semele Scouts for their week-long visit to Dorset, which includes a ferry trip to Brownsea Island and scout founder Robert Baden-Powell’s first camp in Poole Harbour.

The site, located in the Wavendon area to the east of Milton Keynes, is just three miles from the headquarters of the company’s Northern Home Counties region at Caldecotte Lake Business Park. The regional team will be responsible for delivering the new homes.

For Rebecca Eliasu and her husband Sul, free time is at a premium. So when they decided they wanted to move home, a new-build was the perfect solution.

Archaeological reconstructions reveal how early Devon settlers lived, worked and thrived during the Early Bronze Age
Archaeological 3D reconstructions have shed new light on the lives of ancient Bronze Age Sherford settlers, including how they lived, worked and farmed the Devon landscape. The images, created by leading archaeology and heritage practice, Wessex Archaeology, have been reconstructed based on the artefacts and findings uncovered at the new South Hams town, and include a reconstruction of a Bronze Age man, as well as an ancient landscape view of Sherford.

The Year 5 and 6 students from The River School visited The Vale Golf and Country Club in Pershore to learn all about the creatures that are being moved to the course from nearby Drakes Broughton, as part of a large reptile translocation project.
