Kingsmere is in an ideal location on the edge of Bicester, just off Junction 9 of the M40. Here you can head north for Birmingham and the M42, or south to London, sixty five miles away. Oxford is approximately twelve miles south on the A34. Trains run frequently each day from Bicester to both Birmingham and London. A rail commute to Marylebone takes just over an hour. If travelling by air London Luton Airport is about thirty four miles away and both Heathrow and Birmingham International Airports are less than sixty miles away.
A trip to the shopsBicester is in a fantastic location for shopping, whether it's for designer goods, everyday provisions, or the weekly trip to the supermarket. Kingsmere is just a stone's throw from the popular Bicester Village, a designer shopping outlet with more than one hundred and thirty luxury boutiques and stores. The town itself has a range of local and national name traders and as Kingsmere develops it will offer its own local shops too. Just twelve miles away in historic Oxford, you'll find an impressive selection of independent and High Street shops in Templar's Square, the city's largest indoor shopping centre and in the Westgate Shopping centre.
Taking time outYou will never be short of places to see, attractions to visit or things to do living at Kingsmere. As the development grows it will offer recreational areas, play parks and cycle paths, while Bicester is surrounded by beautiful countryside and within easy reach of many picturesque Cotswold villages, making it ideal for walking, or cycling or days out. The town has a golf course and leisure centre and if you want to enjoy the scenic Oxford Canal and River Cherwell there is a choice of Cherwell Valley walks.
EducationAs the Kingsmere development expands it will offer its own school for local children and in addition Bicester has eight primary schools within a radius of just over a mile, catering for pupils from four to eleven years old. For senior pupils Cooper School takes eleven to eighteen year olds. Bicester Community College offers sixth form facilities. There is one independent school catering for seven to thirteen year olds.
