We’ve all been made aware in recent years of the need to reduce our carbon footprints - and a home has a carbon footprint all. Firstly, there’s the effect on the environment during its construction. We’ve reduced that at Bovis Homes by strengthening our commitment to recycling and cutting down on any waste that is produced during the building process.
Then there’s the effect that the home will have on the environment over time as people live in it, mainly from the energy and water that they will use.
So, we have designed features into these homes that will help reduce water and energy use.
The sustainability of our developments is a key issue that we tackle early in any project predominantly using a ‘fabric first approach’ making sure that high quality materials and insulation are used to increase the sustainability of our homes.
The majority of the homes on this development will also benefit from electric car charging points, and all homes will be provided with broadband connections.
