Clanfield family get a leg-up the ladder from Bovis Homes and Help to Buy

Life has transformed for a Hampshire couple who are climbing the property ladder thanks to Bovis Homes and the Government's Help to Buy Equity scheme.
Loretta Ioannou and her husband Lazo were desperate to move from the small one-bedroom flat they shared with their two-year-old daughter Lola before their new baby arrived.
"We had a second child on the way and the flat was just too small," said 35-year-old Loretta. "It was a big decision to move before the birth of the baby, but Bovis Homes made the whole process so simple and straight forward; they have been wonderful."
The couple were impressed with Windmill View, a stylish new development in the flourishing village of Clanfield. Located just north of Horndean it promised the idyllic country lifestyle that the pair had dreamed of.
"As soon as we saw the house we knew it was ideal," said Loretta, a creative art worker. "It was surrounded by countryside with lots of beautiful places that we could go walking - it was just the perfect home to bring up a young family."
Loretta was even more excited to discover that the three bedroom Bovis Home could be theirs using the Help to Buy Equity scheme, which gives homeowners the opportunity to purchase a new-build property with the help of an equity loan from the Government of up to 20% of the home's value.
"Thanks to the Help to Buy scheme we were able to fund our 10% deposit," said Loretta. "Staff at Bovis Homes were always on hand to answer any questions we had and I felt reassured the whole way through the purchase. We cannot believe how quickly it has all happened."
It meant the couple were able to welcome the arrival of baby daughter Maia in their brand new home.
"We are so happy with our family home and looking forward to the months ahead," said Loretta. "There are still a few boxes that need unpacking but we now have the perfect home for our two daughters."
Windmill View boasts a variety of individually designed two-storey properties, ranging from small starter homes to larger detached family homes, ideal for those needing extra space. It also has a community centre, playing fields and allotments.
