Getting around
Tadpole Cross is well placed for transport links. The A419 gives access to Cirencester, Gloucester, Cheltenham, the M5 to the north and M4 junction 15 for London. The A420 gives access to Oxford which is 35 miles away. There are regular bus services from Tadpole Garden Village, giving access into Swindon and beyond. Trains run from Swindon station to major cities and London Paddington is only an hour away. For air travel Bristol Airport is less than 50 miles and Heathrow Airport 70 miles.

From M4 Junction 16

  • Head east on Great Western Way/A3102 towards Blagrove
  • At Blagrove, take the 1st exit onto Whitehill Way/B4534 and continue through 3 roundabouts
  • At Fiveways, take the 2nd exit and stay on Whitehill Way/B4534 and continue through 1 roundabout
  • At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Mead Way/B4534 and continue to follow the B4534
  • Continue onto Thamesdown Drive
  • Turn left at Tadpole Brook onto Oakhurst Way signposted Oakhurst and Blunsdon Station, then go through 2 roundabouts
  • At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit and straight on at the following roundabout into Tadpole Garden Village. Tadpole Cross will be found on the left.

From M4 Junction 15/A419

  • Leave the A419 at the Swindon N & W, A4311 junction (also signed for Highworth and Blunsdon)
  • Turn left onto the A4311 leading to Thamesdown Drive
  • Continue on Thamesdown Drive for 2 miles
  • Turn right at Tadpole Brook onto Oakhurst Way
  • signposted Oakhurst and Blunsdon Station, then go through 2 roundabouts
  • At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit and straight on at the following roundabout into Tadpole Garden Village. Tadpole Cross will be found on the left.
