Bristol is approximately 12 miles north-west on the A37, while the Spa city of Bath is about 10 miles north-east on the A39. The cathedral city of Wells is less than 12 miles south on the A39. The nearest train and coach stations are both in Bath, while air passengers can fly from Bristol International Airport, approximately 16 miles away.
A trip to the shops Paulton has a number of local shops providing day-to-day essentials, plus a Tesco supermarket about a mile-and-a-half away. A five minute drive to Midsomer Norton and you will find a range of local shops and a number of leading supermarkets. Taking time out A home at Priors Lea offers you the choice to enjoy a quieter country life or the buzz of city attractions within about a half hour's drive. Paulton itself has more than 50 sports clubs and societies ranging from football, cricket and netball, to walking, canoeing and amateur dramatics, plus its own indoor swimming pool and four pubs. Locally there are two local nature reserves and the tiny Chivers Knoll woodland. Within a short drive you can enjoy the Grade two listed Mitton Lodge Gardens, take a steam ride on the East Somerset Railway, or explore the famous Cheddar Caves and Gorge. Stunning Wells Cathedral is within easy reach as is the Spa city of Bath with its Roman Baths and Pump Room, Royal Crescent and Abbey. Education For families living at Priors Lea there are pre and primary schools within the village. Paulton's two pre-school nurseries take youngsters from aged two-and-a-half years, while the Paulton Infants Schools takes four to seven-year-olds and the Junior School caters for the sevens to elevens. There are three further primary schools within 1.5 miles of the village. For senior pupils aged 11- 18, there are two schools within two miles, both providing sixth form facilities and less than three miles away Norton Radstock College.
