Getting around
The nearby A2280 gives Meadows View direct access to the A22, which is the area's major link road north to the M23 and M25. It also links to the A27 to Brighton to the west and towards Hastings in the east. Eastbourne town centre is about 1.5 miles and its central railway station runs regular services to Brighton and to London's Victoria station. Gatwick International Airport is approximately 50 miles away and the port of Folkestone is about 56 miles.

A trip to the shops
Eastbourne's vibrant town centre boasts top brand names such as Marks & Spencer, Boots and Next in the popular Arndale Shopping Centre, while in the quaint Victorian streets of 'Little Chelsea' it's brimming with art, antiques, jewellery and designer offerings. The Enterprise Centre offers many small independent traders and eateries, while the lively seafront has colourful beach shops and cafes. It's only 23 miles to Brighton too, where you'll find more than 80 stores and cafes at the Churchill Square Shopping Centre, plus of course The Lanes, famous for its eclectic mix of antiques, designer boutiques and jewellery.

Taking time out
From arts and history, to water sports and walking, Eastbourne is bursting with life. Its award-winning Quality Coast beaches offer clean and safe bathing complete with colourful beach huts and a Victorian pier. Marvel at the views from Beachy Head, the UK's highest chalk sea cliff in the new South Downs National Park, or relax at the 700 acre Seven Sisters Country Park. Take a boat trip to the iconic Beachy Head lighthouse, or stride out along the South Downs Way. The town has five theatres, the contemporary Towner art gallery and the Sovereign Centre for sports and fitness. Visit Redoubt Fortress the leading Napoleonic military history museum, or the 15th Century Herstmonceux Castle and moat.
