Getting around Colchester has quick and easy access to the national travel networks so it's apt that Quadriga is named after a four-horse chariot. What's more, not only does the town have a golf centre but also football, rugby and cricket clubs. For those who enjoy walking and cycling, there's the High Woods Country Park and Wivenhoe Trail, which runs alongside the River Colne.
Education Colchester boasts some of the highest achieving school and colleges in the country. There is a wide selection of primary, secondary and high schools in the neighbourhood catering for pupils. For further education, the University of Essex can be found at Wivenhoe Park on the outskirts of town. Colchester Institute, the largest vocational college in Essex, also has a campus in the centre of Colchester.
