Getting around
Cleobury Mortimer is around twelve miles from the bustling Worcestershire town of Kidderminster and less than twenty from the City of Worcester. The M5 and M42 motorways, are less than thirty miles away, giving access to Birmingham, north to the West Midlands and south to Bristol and the West Country. Nearest trains run from Ludlow, while services from Kidderminster include direct links to London and Worcester runs services to both Birmingham and London. For air travel, Birmingham's International Airport is approximately thirty two miles away.

A trip to the shops
For your day-to-day needs Cleobury Mortimer has a local grocery store, newsagents, a post office, pubs and a petrol station, while the nearby towns of Ludlow and Bewdley offer a further selection. For large supermarkets and a wider range of stores Kidderminster is fast becoming a shopping hotspot. The Weavers Wharf area with its Grade II listed Slingfield Mill are both popular, while the city of Worcester offers impressive shopping arcades, department stores, High Street names and independent retailers. Further afield Birmingham's Bullring has more than one hundred and sixty stores and over twenty five restaurants.

Taking time out
Cleobury Mortimer is just a few miles from Shropshire's famous Clee Hills and the town has its own golf club and sports hall. The attractive Georgian town of Bewdley on the River Severn is a short drive and the famous Severn Valley Railway and the National Cycle Network Route pass right through the town. The popular West Midland Safari and Leisure Park is also nearby. The six thousand five hundred acre Wyre Forest, one of the largest remaining ancient woodlands in Britain, noted for its amazing wildlife, is close to Cleobury Mortimer and Bodenham Arboretum with thousands of species of trees is within easy reach . For nightlife Kidderminster has the charming Rose Theatre, plus a variety of restaurants and nightclubs.

Education
Cleobury Mortimer has its own primary school as do the nearby villages of Bayton and Hopton Wafers, just over two miles away. Also in Cleobury Mortimer is the community school of Lacon Chide for eleven to sixteen year olds. Secondary education is also available at Bewdley School and Sixth Form Centre, less than eight miles away and at Stourport-on-Severn High School and Sixth Form Centre, approximately nine miles away, while Kidderminster College has courses for all ages.

From M5 (southbound)

  • Leave the M5 at Junction 4 taking the 4th exit onto the A491 towards Stourbridge
  • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A491 towards Stourbridge
  • At the traffic lights continue straight on
  • At the roundabout take the 1st exit nto the A456 towards Kidderminster
  • At the traffic lights continue straight on towards Kidderminster town centre
  • At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A456
  • At the roundabouttake the 2nd exit onto the A456
  • At the traffic lights continue forward onto the A456 towards Bewdley
  • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A456 towards Leominster
  • At the traffic lights continue straight on
  • At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A456
  • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A456
  • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A456
  • After about 2 miles turn right onto the A4117 towards Cleobury Mortimer
  • Continue through the town centre and turn left onto Vaughan Road
  • Cleobury Park can be found a short distance ahead on the right hand side

From Bridgnorth

  • At mini-roundabout continue forward onto B4373 Whitburn Street
  • At roundabout take the 1st exit onto B4373 Pound Street
  • At mini-roundabout turn right onto B4373 Hollybush Road
  • Turn right onto B4363 Oldbury Road towards Cleobury Mortimer
  • At crossroads continue forward onto the B4363 towards Cleobury Mortimer
  • At T-Junction turn right onto the A4117 signposted Ludlow
  • Turn left onto Vaughan Road
  • Cleobury Park can be found a short distance ahead on the right hand side

From A49 (Shrewsbury)

  • Continue on the A49 towards Leominster
  • After about 26 miles at the roundabout take the first exit onto the A4117 towards Kidderminster
  • Continue on the A4117 for about 10 miles
  • Turn right onto Vaughan Road
  • Cleobury Park can be found a short distance ahead on the right hand side
