To the east the A421 joins the A43 that connects with Junction 10 of the M40 for Banbury, Oxford and London. A trip to the shops
Tingewick has its own Village Stores and Post Office and at nearby Buckingham there are Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Aldi supermarkets. The town centre has a variety of independent shops as well as some national retailers and regular markets. For further choice take a 16 mile trip to Milton Keynes where thecentre:mk boasts over 240 stores, while 'intu Milton Keyes' the Fashion Quarter, has more than 50 designer shops. Only 11 miles away is the popular Bicester Village offering more than 130 luxury designer outlets.

Taking time out
Tingewick is home to two historic, thatched pubs, The Royal Oak and The Red Lion and a weekly-run Tingewick Community Cafe. The Village Hall hosts classes in karate, Pilates, line dancing, there's a scout group and many footpaths, some leading to the nearby River Great Ouse. In the market town of Buckingham you'll find the Swan Pool and Leisure Centre, plus outdoor tennis courts, bowls and many sports clubs. Book a seat at The Film Place, or enjoy a picnic in Chandos Park beside the River Great Ouse. The National Trust's Stowe gardens are only four miles away and motorsport fans will love Silverstone Race Circuit only seven miles away.
