Great location…
Peacehaven enjoys a prime position on the East Sussex coast, sandwiched between the beautiful rolling hills of the South Downs and the English Channel. First established in 1914, the town has grown in recent years and is a popular place to live with a thriving community. Meridian End is ideally located on Peacehaven's Arundel Road, just a short distance from the seafront and the town's many amenities.
Shopping and leisure…
Nearby you'll find a Co-op superstore and other retail outlets at the modern Meridian Shopping Centre, which is situated next to the multi-purpose Peacehaven Leisure Centre and Peacehaven Community School. Infant and junior schools are also conveniently close by. It's also within easy walking distance of the shops, post office and banks on the South Coast Road. As well as the seafront Promenade, you can enjoy coastal walks with breathtaking views, throughout an area of outstanding beauty.
First established in 1914, the town has grown in recent years and is a popular place to live with a thriving community. Close to Meridian End, the focal point is the Meridian Centre, which houses shops, a community hall, library and health clinic; whilst the adjacent £1.5 million Peacehaven Leisure Centre offers a range of indoor facilities. For outdoor activities, there's the nearby Sports Park. In the vicinity, ramblers and cyclists enjoy dramatic changes of scenery, from towering chalk cliffs to unspoilt countryside. Lying in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the surrounding woods and heathland are havens for wildlife. Castle Hill Nature Reserve near Woodingdean is worth a visit.
The obelisk on Peacehaven Cliffs marks the spot where the Greenwich Meridian line (after which our new development is named) leaves the British mainland. And, just a couple of miles along the coastline, Newhaven Fort boasts commanding views from the headland above the town. Steeped in maritime history, Newhaven with its cross channel ferry service, busy port and marina offers excellent facilities for yachting, scuba diving and watersports. On West Quay, you can watch the fleets bringing in fresh fish daily, or visit Newhaven Lifeboat Station. To the west of Peacehaven, you'll find the neighbouring towns of Telscombe Cliffs and Saltdean. From West Saltdean, the undercliff walk extends 3 miles to Brighton Marina.
