Further afield, lovers of speed will find the Silverstone Racing Circuit at Northampton that hosts the British Formula 1 Grand Prix and at Rockingham Motor Speedway there is Northamptonshire's new oval arena. To the south of Northampton is the Pitsford Water reservoir and country park, offering an ideal venue for walking, cycling, sailing and fishing. There is also much to keep the sporting fan busy, with Northamptonshire's first class county cricket team and the Saints Rugby Club and for football fans there is a choice of League football clubs located in nearby towns.
