The benefits of working for Bovis Homes

As a Company, our aim is to attract and retain the best staff and we believe our rewards and benefits package reflects this. 

As well as a competitive salary, you may also be entitled to a discretionary staff bonus depending on individual and company performance. For site-based staff, we offer a build incentive scheme which is designed to reward strong performance in the areas of quality, health and safety, customer satisfaction and the build programme. For our sales staff, we offer a commission scheme linked to their individual sales performance.

In addition to these rewards we also offer the following benefits:

Private medical insurance
All monthly paid employees are offered the opportunity to join our private medical insurance scheme, subject to terms and conditions. The scheme also allows employees to add their spouse and dependents at their own cost. 

Pension scheme
Eligible monthly paid employees may join our group personal pension plan.  The pension is contributory and deductions are made by employees on a monthly basis. The Company contributes 7% of pensionable earnings and employees contribute a minimum of 5%.

For those who join the pension scheme, there is also a death in service benefit, which is normally three times the employee's salary.

We also offer our weekly paid site staff membership of a stakeholder pension scheme to which the Company also makes a contribution.

For other employees, we have a general stakeholder pension scheme, to which employees can contribute if they wish. 

Car scheme
For employees who need a vehicle to carry out their duties, we provide an independent car scheme to get them on the road, which is managed and maintained through our scheme provider.

Share schemes
To ensure our employees feel part of the business, we offer them the opportunity to participate in our share schemes.

Our ‘save as you earn’ share save scheme offers employees the opportunity to save money, either weekly or monthly, which they can then use at the end of a fixed savings period to buy shares in Bovis Homes at a discounted option price. The scheme is launched annually (subject to board approval).

We also have a share incentive plan where eligible employees can purchase partnership shares which are then placed in trust. Employees are eligible on completion of 6 months' service. Employees who keep shares purchased on their behalf in trust for 5 years, pay no income tax or national insurance on them. They also pay no capital gains tax on any growth in value whilst they are held in trust.

Discount on a Bovis Home
All employees are eligible for a staff discount on the purchase price of a new Bovis Home.

Health and wellbeing assessment
To ensure the health and wellbeing of our workforce, we provide employees with access to health screening via Nuffield hospitals.

Employee referral scheme
When a Bovis Homes employee recommends someone they know for an advertised position, they may be eligible to receive £500 for the successful referral. Payments are made once the employee has completed three months' service.
